Stories worth slowing down for
Letters & Lore was born from a simple conviction: the best stories aren't consumed — they're experienced. One letter at a time, over months, with anticipation in between.

Why this company exists
We live in an age of infinite content and diminishing attention. Books pile up unread. Podcasts queue endlessly. Streaming libraries grow faster than anyone could watch. And yet the hunger for a good story — the kind that stays with you — hasn't gone anywhere.
Letters & Lore exists to honour that hunger. We create serialised fiction delivered by post: real letters, on real paper, arriving at your door every fortnight for a full year. No algorithm decides what comes next. No screen competes for your attention. Just you, a cup of tea, and the next chapter.
We believe the postal format isn't a limitation — it's the point. The wait between letters creates anticipation. Anticipation deepens engagement. And engagement transforms a story from something you read into something you live with.
"We make stories you can hold in your hands — because the things worth keeping shouldn't live on a screen."
From the founder

I started Letters & Lore because I was craving something real. Between the kids, the job, and the endless scroll, I realised I hadn't sat down with a story — really sat down — in years.
So I created the thing I wanted: a beautiful envelope that arrives twice a month, filled with a story I can hold in my hands. No screens. No notifications. Just words on paper, pressed flowers, and the quiet thrill of not knowing what comes next.
If you're anything like me — a woman who loves a good story and misses the ritual of receiving real mail — this was made for you.
— Eleanor, Founder
What we care about
Slow over fast
We chose post over push notifications. A story that unfolds over twelve months is the antidote to binge culture.
Craft over content
Every letter is written, designed, and produced with the care of a small press — because that's what it is.
Tangible over digital
Paper has weight. Wax seals leave an impression. The physical form is part of the story.
Personal over algorithmic
No recommendation engine. You choose a story that speaks to you, and we deliver it faithfully, letter by letter.
